Nesting Patterns Design Company has been in the works for quite some time. Since Hollie was a little girl, she loved making cards for the people she loved. She was also passionate about photography. To her mother’s initial dismay, this often meant cutting up photos from family albums and “laminating” them onto the homemade cards using Saran Wrap. Hollie was pleased to see that her mother held onto all of the cards she had made for her parents over the years by storing them safely in a special dresser drawer. She knew this meant that the cards really meant something to her parents so she continued making them – and chopping her way through the family albums.
Her mother, proud as she was of her daughter’s creations, was pleased to see the dawn of the digital photography age, which signaled that the photos in her remaining family albums were now safe. Now, Hollie used the new technology place photos of her friends and family on cards, jelly jar and wine bottle labels, certificates – whatever the occasion called for! This logically gave way to a love for graphic design. In addition to her role as Marketing Manager for a local hospitality company, Hollie is currently enrolled in a Graphic Design Certificate Program at NSCAD University. When she’s not working, taking classes or coming up with new cards, she gets to spend time her favourite role - as a wife and mommy.
